Booking tips

  • Ask whether the hotel offers airport pickup and confirm the cost.
  • Check the real distance and drive time to the venue, not just the map distance.

💳 Money

  • Currency is the Indian Rupee (₹ / INR). Rates hover around 92–95 INR to $1 USD and 122–126 INR to £1.
  • Cards work at hotels, malls, and restaurants. Carry cash for autos, small shops, markets, and tips — ATMs are everywhere and usually beat currency-exchange counters.
  • Tell your bank and card issuer you're traveling so they don't flag your charges.
  • Locals pay with UPI apps, which are hard for short-term visitors to set up — cash plus a credit card covers you fine.

🌤️ Weather & Packing

  • In mid-November, expect warm, sunny days (around 27 °C / 81 °F) and cool evenings (around 17 °C / 63 °F). The monsoon is over, though a brief shower is still possible — pack a light layer for evenings and a compact umbrella just in case.
  • Power is 230V, plug types C / D / M. US visitors need a plug adapter and should check devices are dual-voltage (phone chargers usually are, hair tools often aren't). UK visitors need a simple plug-shape adapter — voltage matches home.
  • For the wedding, think colourful and comfortable, with easy-to-slip-off shoes (the ceremony is shoes-off).
